I get a sense of satisfaction that I am helping out new dads around the world, hopefully sharing my experiences will help others to not make the same parenting mistakes

I get a creative outlet that forces me to keep writing. I've always enjoyed writing a great deal, but the hardest part of it is motivating yourself to do it every single day...a blog can help solve that problem as it really does take on a life of its own and I now feel obligated to keep updating daily (well, 6 times a week anyway).

My blog is a political blog. What I didn't fully understand when I started my blog is how much I would have to defend my ideas. Over the last couple of years, I have put a lot of time and effort into researching current events and political theory. I have gotten a lot more secure in my political beliefs, better able to defend them, and on one or two issues I have actually changed my position.
