How About This Idea for my Blog?

Hi there,

As you may or may not know, I'm a 14 year-old from Canada (Canadia). I've been looking for my blog niche, and through a "flash of genious" last night at 11:30 (right before my biggest exam), I though of writing a blog about business and money as it pertains to youth. I've been told I'm quite smart for my age (and I love business too), so I'm really excited about this idea. This niche is small yet growing, in the HUGE niche of business. What do you guys think about this idea? Here are some possible blog posts (you can add some if you want):

It seems like a good idea to me, if you can produce some great posts and take some time to promote it I think it has great potential as long as you can kind your targeted audience. Remember, content is king!

Thanks for the info! It's a general business site, but applies mostly to youth; yet it is broad enough to appeal to anyone. I hope my youth will enhance the blog What's the general rule of thumb about when to start promoting a blog? How many posts/comments?

In my opinion I'd say you should have close to 10 posts and be consistent when posting before getting serious about promotion. You need to have something to market or else whats the point?

As far as actual promotion how and where, I will let the real experts take care of that as I am fairly new to blogging myself. In the meantime, this forum is stuffed full with promotion techniques so it wouldn't hurt to poke around the old threads to see what you can dig up.

as more people look at this thread, I'm sure there will be more opinions. Right now I have a couple domain name suggestions. They should be acronym friendly:

Youthbusinessblog.com - YBB
youthbusiness.net (there's a youthbusiness.com) - YB
youthandmoney.com - YAM
youthmoneyandpolitics.com - YMAP
youthandbusiness.com - YAB (though the acronym stands for another business site)

What do you think? Is "youth" appropriate? Suggestions for changes?

I am a newbie so don't know too much about blogging but personally i would say that your idea is fantastic but I am not keen on the names that you have thought of so far....

Just had a quick look at it. Nice, I like the intro post and you have added a picture to it, makes it more personal and I think that it will make people trust your advice more. But that is just me
