What is the average unique visitors

i was just wondering how my blog compares to other bloggers. I have had my blog for about 2 or 3 months now and have only been getting 50 or so visitors a day and was wondering how this compared or if it was any good.

I get anywhere between 80 and 200 on a given day, mostly from search engines with no promotion on my vet blog. Been going for around a year and a half. You can view my unique visitors and pageviews via the public project wonderful stats.

I average twenty unique visitors a day after a year of blogging and while I'd like to grow a bit I'm not entirely unhappy with it. I get comments on most of my posts and we have some interesting discussions going, plus I've made friends with a group of people and some of us are going to meet up soon. So my blog is currently meeting my needs.

I don't think there is one right number for what is enough visitors. It depends what you're using your blog for.

My main blog gets between 100 - 200 visitors a day. Its been open for about 9 months.

Get about 40 -60 visitors a day for one blog, after about 18 months. But now trying to optimize it for ranking in search engine results. I re-titled one of my posts to make it more keyword relevant (using Google's Keyword Tool) which increased the number of unique visits a bit.

I look at everything on a 30 day run rate in Google Analytics. It evens out the ups and downs you get every day.

That being said, traffic is secondary to subscribers in my mind. Traffic is just a means to get subscribers.

On my old generic URL (free from my webhost) I was hitting about 950-1000 visitors a month, I've since moved the blog onto a new URL and a new webhost (now the URL matches the blog name) and in the 10 days it's been at the new "home" I've hit just over 700 visitors...

Commedian, your traffic is good for a blog of your age. Just remember that time is the number one thing that will boost your traffic. Just wait and it will slowly rise.

We've had our blog up since December, and we generally get anywhere 2-70 unique per day. Mostly it stays under the 20 mark, but we have had some huge spikes.

I have started posting on my blog since Feb. and I am still learning the ropes. I typically have between 150 to 400 visitors per day. But I have also had a 50 visitor day and a 1,000 visitor day. Sometimes it swings to extremes. I see some different sites linking to my site and this may explain the swing from high to low.
