There really is no "average." Some people make enough money to live on by blogging (which means they probably have thousands of unique viewers daily). Simply focus on attracting more and more visitors every month and creating new content.

I started by blog two days ago and yesterday's traffic count per google analyics was 117 with a 2.5 minute average. Not too bad. I hope I've found my niche. The Guru has Spoken |

Right now my traffic on Inkweaver Review is about 320 visitors a day. This is a big improvement from my former 250 visitors a day, so I think Google must have boosted my page rank. It hasn't updated in PR checking tools yet, though. But I'm pretty happy with my blog traffic. Of course, more is always better.

I guess it depends on which blog... some of my blogs only get a few hundred daily but my other blogs that I target SE traffic, I'm probably getting like 500-2,000 daily.

I'm getting about 3,000 uniques a day but I'd label things be carefull what you wish for. When I joined this forum off the top of my head 4 months or so ago, I think I was averaging 800 a day which was pretty good I thought for such a short time. I aimed for 2,500. I'm guessing I went from 800 to 1200 to 1800 to 3000 a month since then but I'm making less with adsense than I did when I was at 1200! My blog is a general interest blog and I'm guessing I put 10 or so new blog posts a week. My e-commerce sites which I list at the bottom of my blog income has increased a bit but not huge. The bottom line is, its good supplemental income but there's no way I could live on this Blog income. I've basically figured out to a degree, that you either need to be one of the first few people writing on a topic and/or writing a different angle on it and use a concide catchy Title which clearly identifies the story. I probably get 25% of my blogs by just clearly posting better titles on things already on the web that aren't identified as well. An example- Internet Sensation Susan Boyle. I discovered that she had recorded a song 20 years ago or so in a recording studio and someone had just posted this on You Tube. So I posted a blog I titled (I think, this is off the top of my head as I don't want to bother and look it up as you'll get the idea) "Britain's Got Talent Susan Boyle First Studio Recording" and got good traffic and it had a link to the You Tube Site along with info on the recording and backstory on her Britain's got talent performance. Bottom line though is while I've almost tripled my traffic to around 90,000 uniques a month, my overall blog income hasn't increase much at all! |
