Nervous about leaving blogger...

Hi! I've been blogging for almost two years now and I'm hoping to steer away from blogger in the near future. The only thing is... I'm nervous about moving.

I have read great things about Wordpress and the flexibility it offers but I have also read that its very difficult to move all of your posts and pictures (I have hundreds). I'm pretty good at blogging (or so I think... ) and I'm pretty good with html, but when it comes to platforms, etc., I'm in the dark.

I've taken the first step and registered my own domain (haven't switched to it yet) and am anxious to get to step two. Any advice for me?

Personally it is something I have never done so I can't input more than Eve already gave you. If you are running a gossip site like yours moving to your own site is the best move you could make. I hope your transfer goes well and please keep us posted in this thread if you run into any issues and generally just how it went. Best of luck and sorry I can't be of more help!

Thanks for the links! (and the quick response!) I'll have to set some time aside to read as much as I can.

Ugh, why is this still so intimidating for me? I'm sure that I can do it if I go step by step, but I'm still nervous that I'll mess something up and lose everything, LOL.

Guess the only way to find out is to just do it.

I completely understand, just be sure to back everything up- one of those articles I posted had a special plugin to easily import all posts and comments from blogger to make it simple. Good luck!
