Absolute n00b with a link problem

Hello all,
First post here, glad I found you!
I'm trying to make a links on my blog to some relevant sites and can't quite figure out how to do what I want. I've managed to add a link but I want to place a .gif image in the box. I've been told to just add the image to the directory, but I have no clue where that is.

It seems as though I can't link to it but try this: avastynothingness.blogspot.com

Any help you can give will be appreciated.

First off - hello! It's really good to have you here!

I'm sort of confused about what your asking, though - let me see if I can sort this out. I went to your page. So are you trying to add images to the links in your blog roll, or other places in your blog?

On the very bottom, I added an HTML link. I have a .gif that I want to place in that box instead of "click here to go to..."
The .gif is a small banner.

You need to host your image on a free site like Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and then copy and paste the direct link from it into the code.

I think its a rule. You can have signature and links only after you complete 15 posts. Participate a bit and then try!
