Question Google Analytics?

Hey guys, need some help with my analytics.

I've noticed the number of visitors isn't updating anymore, hasn't done so in a week even though I know I've had visits (from adsense and people's feedback on my site through these threads).

I heard somewhere it doesn't update everyday or even every week. How long should I give it and is it possible that i've messed up the code making other changes?

Mine updates every day & always has. I would think you must have mixed up the code somehow.

When you sign up, there will be a step-by-step set of instructions of where to place the code on your blog. And it 'does' update daily, however, it might take it a bit of time *the first time* as Google crawls everything.

you basically sign up, start a profile (your blogspot.com site for example), analytics creates the code for you and then you copy it and paste it into the HTML of your blogger template (which sounds a gazillion times harder than it is!).

It's pretty much copy and paste - I re-did mine but haven't seen it update yet. Guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow.

I think the best free webstate provider is statcounter. Maybe you can try that one out.

I agree. I use free version of statcounter to manage 6 sites and find it very user helpful. A bit too much in some ways as it's real time I check more frequently than I'm happy with!
