Hi Tracy:

I think that it would be very beneficial for you to check out the Blogger "How To Start A Blog" you tube video. It gives simple step by step instructions. I am unable to give you the link here, because I just joined today and I don't have enough posts to add a link yet. Go to google and look for Blogger "How To Start A Blog" you tube video.

I'm not sure I understand what kind of code you are talking about, but I'm assuming you mean "html". html is what makes a webpage look like it does.

As far as traffic and getting noticed, you will have work to do. Add your blog to directories, link with other bloggers, etc.

Hope this helps!

Janie

You're right, social bookmarking is an excellent way to drive traffic to your website or blog. Many people forget to do this.

thanks for your reply

What I meant was I have requested a link/button from the crafters blog so when people are on my blog they can click on this button and it will take them directly to there website

They have sent me a code so that the button will appear at the bottom of my blog. I am not sure where to paste that code into my blog

do I do it through the html part and just paste it into the list of all the bits that obvisously make up the template

code starts like this - unfortunatley if I paste the whole code it nows its a link and therefore cannot post this thread (not enough posts yet0

<a href

hope that makes it clearer and do I then apply the same rule if I want to add other companys adds/buttons to my website

Just add the code into your footer file.

Hello:

Yes, you would enter the url code into the html part of your blog. Since you are not very familiar with html and placement, you might have to play around with where to actually place it, until it appears in the exact location that you want it. I usually place it, then preview it before it goes live so that it is where I want it to be.

And yes, you would do the same thing for other companies as well.
