Need html help with anchor tags ( ? )

So I'm writing a page that is becoming quite long.
I have five sections to the page. I want to allow my readers to easily jump to what interests them, without having to scroll and read through all my babble.

I thought I had it figured out when I applied anchor tags, but I'm only jumping to one part of the page.

I swear I knew the tags for this a couple years ago, and I'm having a hard time searching for what I need.

for the anchor put <a name="whatever">

I actually figured it out yesterday. I forget I needed to replace identifier with what I was linking too. Spelling correctly helps as well.
