I set up an EntreCard account and am ready to place an add widget on my site.

I know I am supposed to place the code in the sidebar.php in the theme editor but where am I supposed to place it?

I know very little about code, please help me out.

Look for something in your coding that looks like this:

<!-- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ widgetize sidebar ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ -->
<?php if ( function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar(2) ) : else : ?>

place the coding for your Entrecard after that. For good measure I always add <br> before and after each piece of coding I add just to space things out, but that's up to you.

I found the code you described and pasted in my entrecard code.

Is there supposed to be a widget in my WP widgets list to place or does it just show up?

Right now Im not seeing it on my site. Does it take a few minutes to work?

I found the simplest way to add the Entrecard widget (and anything else to the sidebar for that matter) is to create a 'text' widget and simply put the code in the text box. You can position the text widget wherever you want.

Much easier than editing the code in sidebar.php

OK I got it

I found a plugin called Daikos Text widget. It worked like a snap.

I don't know exactly. I've had trouble with them ever sense I moved from their blogging platform to Wordpress. They won't help me sense it's not their software... I can't upload directly to their server and I have no idea how to fix it. They're just really frustrating.
