Smile Blogger vs Wordpress

I have two Blogger blogs and I'm starting to think that Wordpress may afford me more possibilities? Is it easy to move actual content over?

Thank you for visiting my site too (and saying hello to my advertisers)

by wordpress do you mean wordpress.com or a self hosted blog?

The good thing about blogger is you have complete html control over your site - you dont get that on wordpress.com (you do on your own blog)

It depends on what you mean by "more possibilities" really. If you want total control over your blog, from the header to the footer, you may want to consider hosting your own blog (you may use WordPress, it's free).

I've not done this, but I've read that it's fairly easy to import your Blogger posts into your new WordPress blog.

I've read that its quite easy as well. If your blog is only a few months old and you are already thinking of making the switch I"d recommend you do it sooner than later .

More options and control with a self-hosted blog.

Very nearly trivially easy. Wordpress has a Blogger import feature that brings over all the posts. You'll have to edit categories a bit afterward, perhaps, but nothing major.

I use both. I think wordpress lets you customize better. I recommend to get a unique domain though.

For free use, blogger is better IMO.

I use both too.

If you're going for a free wordpress.com hosted blog, I'd recommend blogger instead, because in wordpress.com you don't have access to customize your html or css code, so you have to use some of the default themes and plugins.

But if you are talking about hosting your wordpress blog yourself, I'd go for it, it has lots of themes, lots of plugins and overall in my opinion is a lot better than blogger.
