When I subscribed to my WordPress blog's feed recently, I noticed that the full feed isn't being displayed. It ought to be, because I set it to show full text under "Options > Reading", and I haven't been using the <!--more--> feature. I'm using Feedburner and WordPress version 2.2.1. Anyone experience anything like this? Know what kind of weirdness is going on? |

Thats a feature of the new versions of WP - its incredibly annoying, you want a plugin called full text feed. Full Text Feed · cavemonkey50.com that'll fix it.

The plugin didn't specifically solve my problem, since I wasn't using the <!-- more --> feature it addresses. But, there were some comments on that page that set me straight on what I needed to do. Apparently I've been using the wrong Feedburner address: feeds.feedburner.com/nutshellJournal gives you partial feeds, whereas nutshelljournal.com/?feed=feed gives the full versions. Good plugin though, I'll keep it around for those times I remember to use <!-- more --> to break up my big posts. Last edited by vneely; August 8th, 2007 at 01:04 PM. Reason: I didn't want the URLs to be HTML-ized into links. Need to be displayed literally to make any sense. |
