Just an idle thought while drivng yesterday- Blogs and radios seem to have a lot in common in terms of rations between content and adverts, and the different types of content. Something new (gossip, new music), something classic, what's happening right now that listeners/readers need to know (traffic etc) and no more than 5 minutes of ads at a time. Preferably only 2 minutes of ads if you can manage that. The key for both is a near-constant stream of content. Thoughts?

That's pretty true. The content to ad ratio for both blogs and radio is about the same - you should definitely have more content than ads. You know, there's one station here that plays songs for a straight 53 minutes, then does all of their ads at one time, once an hour. I love it!

I think your absolutely right. I think you can also compare blogging similar to t.v channels as well. Blogging is very similar to many different type of buisnesses. This is a pretty interesting comparison really and I'm stealing it for a post idea . Thanks for the thoughts.
