So HERE is my new blog, sort of integrated with my photography business, in hopes of bringing in new clients. The template I found seems to pretty much serve my purposes, but there is ONE thing I would like to change, if it's not too hard:
I added my own image to the top of the blog main page. When I go to the "About" page, the same image shows. Can I change that, and put up a picture of myself at the top of the About page? If you can help me do this, I will love you forever, I swear. ![]()

I don't really know of a quicker way to do this, but my guess would be to create a new template based on one of the other templates within the folder (try "page" or "single"). Find the image location (it may be in the "header", in which case, copy "header.php" and rename it to "singleheader.php", you may have to call it differently in your new template.
You then upoload it, go to wordpress, and change the template of the about page to your new template (it's somewhere in the left bar). Somebody could explain it a lot better than me though. Here's a relevant page in the codex Pages « WordPress Codex

I think Rhys has the right approach. I've never done it, so I can't give more detailed instructions myself. Maybe someone else will chime in with what problems they've had doing the same thing.

Thanks, you've pointed me to exactly where I needed to be in the help files!
I managed to create a new page template, and it shows up when I look under Presentation> Theme Editor. However, I don't see anywhere on the Page>Write Page page ANY reference to Page Template! According to the help text, there should be a drop-down that allows me to choose which template to use when creating a new page. ![]()

you'll want to add this to the top of your new template
Code:
<?php /* Template Name: Templates Name (about!) */ ?> |

Awesome, THANKS! Now the template drop down is showing up.
Now, off to figure out how to make the new template direct to a different image!
