Default Contextual Advertising

How many of you are making money off of it or paying for bloggers to post something about you? Is it working out well for you?
In case some of you are not sure what Im referring to, here is a blog post of mine about it.

Nice article.

Personally I've found that using contextual advertising is a waste of money (unless only used along side search engine results). You'd be surprised at the amount of money you churn through if your ad runs on a network site - and the bad thing is that the majority of traffic will stay on your site for less than 10 seconds.

Directory submissions all the way.

Thumbs up PayPerPost - Google killer

They say the best thing out there is PayPer Post if you want a proper review of your site, so that people see whatever you're offering before they even get to your site.

Hi, I have just found this site that I would recommend, called www.smorty.com. It pays bloggers to write their opinions on products and websites on their blog sites. It then pays out weekly for every post. I have subscribed a week ago and got my first payment already! I think it will be a simple way to make money from my blog.

Definately a very cool idea. I think alot of advertising networks will be based on blogging now. It's just so much easier to setup and maintain a blog then a typical website. Also rev sharing is the way to go to get lots of high quality unique content.

Only yesterday actually I was thinking of having a way for people who enjoy doing reviews to make money via adsense / adsharing for all the posts they make. We both get exposure and they can make alot of money from a review if it gets picked up, syndicated or just heavily viewed.

Thanks for sharing,
Rob
