Anyone here who doesn't blog for money??

I've never monetized my blogs either. I started blogging in high school, during one summer spent out of town, as I wanted a way to keep in touch that didn't involve e-mails with a 200-person long recipient list.

Funny, though, that my latest blog is so reminiscent of my first one- just on a larger scale. Rather than being out of town, I'm out of the country, and it's just as comforting.

But I'm a supporter of monetization regarding blogs that really contribute to important internet dialogue. Blogs are a growing resource, and some disseminate very useful information- I'm glad there's a way for those bloggers to earn profits for their efforts.

I don't blog for money either. But don't get me wrong. I'd sell out the minute a good offer comes across my table. I'd rather be a rich whore than a poor saint...or a poor whore for that matter. Until something right comes along, my blog will remain ad free. But power to those who do make money off their work!

I've just decided to take up blogging. The blogs I'm considering right now will reflect my preoccupations and aim to initiate a dialogue with people interested in these issues. The blog I actually started a few days ago is unlikely to prove quite lucrative financially speaking especially since its purpose seems quite a theoretical one. Right now I'm concerned with building a useful and attractive blog - there may be few people interested in its content, but those who really want to get the information I promise I offer in the blog should find it easily and enjoy it.

Well, I didn't start blogging to make money but then I was approached by a few sponsors a while ago for it so why not.

But then I started my most recent blog iBlogtoBlog l Sexy Women, Sports, Movies and More! to talk strictly about my interests (sexy women, sports, video games, movies, etc) and ALL my stats shot through the roof. Matter of fact, I put a few adsense ads and I'm getting tons of clicks.

So, I now have a blog strictly to make money but also one that I just blog on... but it still makes me money... lol don't know what to tell you.

Count me in. I've got a couple of blogs which are totally ad-free (and thus revenue-free as well). I consider blogging as an art, not as a frustration. xD
