Anyone here who doesn't blog for money??

I blog for therapy, entertainment, friendship, networking. I won't install ads and I've turned down a dozen companies asking me to do paid reviews. I think I prefer doing it "just because" over anything else. I will accept donations but I never solicit for it. I only have even one thing on my whole site that could be considered an ad but its my affiliate link for my host and its only there because its a great deal and my tiny cut would help pay my server fees

I blog mainly for myself... I want to have a journal of a year abroad that I'm going to be doing in Spain. I don't really have any money coming in from my blog right now; however, maybe if my site gets built up I'll consider looking into advertisers. The truth, though, is that I don't want my site over-run with ads and the goal of my blog isn't to make money... it's just for fun for me.

Undeniably,i blog for money at first but i know this is a wrong mindset because if blog for money i know i can't go far.Then i started to search some guidance from other problogger like Darren Rowse to correct my mindset of blogging.

I have been doing internet marketing & SEO for 2 years and just got into blogging for fun. I don't anticipate making any money however I do monetize the blog, but it is for the enjoyment of engaging people in conversation that I have started blogging.

I am definitely not blogging for the fun of it!

I am trying to develop my site at Links.com, and blogging is the easiest way for me to test out ideas, understand my visitors, and at the same time provide some useful content. The Web is so inundated with information these days, it is almost impossible to come up with a useful business idea, that hasn't already been tried out, and better than what I can do.

So blogging, for me, is a laboratory for ideas and a means for learning more about the nature of the Web (e.g. traffic, analytics, behavior, etc.) - and at the same time provide something that is reasonably useful. It's always nice to have someone sign up for the feed.

Um, I haven't decided it yet.

The first idea was to create a blog that enables me to make money.

But then things turned. I somehow decided to follow my heart, which in result publishing a quite personal blog. It's a personal blog but it is meant to be shared.

I hesitated to use this blog to make money with ads.

Probably I will publish another blog or website in the future with purpose of selling my artworks instead.

I blog because I feel I have a lot to share with the world. That and I can't shut up, lol. It brings balance to my life and relieves my boyfriend of my constant chattering. While I have to admit I'd love to draw in some money with my blog, what I enjoy the most about blogging is getting feedback and knowing I've reached someone.
