Lol. The first bizarre search term I got was "how to get your mate's mum into bed" so I wrote a Dear Abby kind of response to it and was getting hits on it everyday. Now that I've moved my blog to the old domain, it's a little quieter, but I was surprised by the number of people wanting information about it.

Definitely some weird post headers and regarding getting your dates mum in bed lmao I'm sure there are lots of people doing that. All types in this world.

I must admit to some really weird post headers. I get a kick/giggle from them, and hope my readers do too. Downside is the 'nasal @#$' syndrome (as it shall hence forth be known)....lol

Indeed, at the end of the month I'll post how many visits we've gotten on that term. I am often seeing a "guest" reading the thread lol.

Dave - You now have even better odds of getting traffic. If they click here and are like what the heck!?! a PG Blog forum? They'll click yours then say what the heck !?!? Thai spices instead of clicking yours first and saying " what do thai spices have to do with nasal sex!?!"

Thats what I figure by having weird headings, but is that a sell out? Its gaining traffic sure but not for the right reasons. If you are true to why you have a blog eg for your own enjoyment, then traffic means nothing, but if hits is what your after then it is still a misdirection so whers the benefit. By the way Iv'e had a few...hic! so if this makes no sense...sorry!!!

It makes sense. If you aren't selling anything and just for fun then it doesn't really matter but if you are trying to sell a product or service... I'd take 100 targeted uniques a week over 1000 totally unrelated ones.

Perfect example is totally random stumble traffic. I pumped 50$ in and not one stick. That's why Search Engine Traffic is so sought after b/c people who visit you through the engine are motivated browsers...
