Hi I am Russian. I live in St. Petersburg and I like it here (well, most of the time anyway)... However I do use my writing as some sort of escapism. Then again, aren't we all?

Thanks for commenting on the thread. Yes you are of course right, we all use our blogs to escape the routines of our normal lives. You need to finish filling out a profile on the bloggeries. and you need to assign your blog address when you you make comments, so that we can review your blog and make comments there too. Originally - New Mexico - Hot, dry, nice open spaces and the mountains are awesome.

In the Army I was stationed in Germany - loved it! The Beer! The People! The Snow! (yes, I liked the snow)

Traveled to Scotland (and got married there) - loved it! The people most especially. Also traveled to Austria, France, Belgium, England and loved them all.

Spent 5 years in San Diego, CA and spent most of my time on the beach.

Now living in Texas. Some people consider Texas to be it's own country. I miss having a winter (with snow), and the summer heat is oppressive. Then there are the flies, mosquitos, wasps, and chiggers. Not to mention the scorpions and snakes. I swear, sometimes I think Texas is a haven for stinging and biting critters! But the people are independent minded and stubborn - just how I like them!

Well, I am from South Carolina, but I am living in Japan now. It's great here. People are rather different, and the language is sure tough to crack. The food is good, service is great, and everything is really clean here.
