Wordpress is better than blogger

Obviously wordpress is better in many ways.

1. Best plugins, you can monitize and add plugins really easiliy

2. Best Themes, chaning themes header, colours is also easy.

3. of course, is most popular among most bloggers

Like many people I started my blog on Blogger - on the spur of the moment I may add. After only a week I grew out of it, it was too restrictive even for my basic needs. I Googled away and read about Wordpress and decided to buy my own domain and WP it.

Three months down the line I have to say it is fantastic. I am no techno geek but I can use it easily, it has excellent add ons and I have found exactly the sort of theme I wanted - German newspaper.

I can't see there being much competition in the free market but is there competition for WP??

I personally like WordPress better. I have always wondered which Google likes better since they own blogger

i like wordpress but can't afford private hosting yet (and want to display ads) so am on blogger for now...

Yes, you're right, anyone can, but the point I think he was trying to make is if you want things done 100% your way, there's no way to do it without building the site yourself. Now I used to build my own sites using Dreamweaver CS3, I still have a couple of them up. Heck, back in the day I used to write my own HTML in a text editor. Today, I use Wordpress simply because it's easier and faster, but doing so does involve some compromises or writing my own themes from the ground up.

You really can't get exactly what you want if you let someone else do all the work.

Hosting is dirt cheap, I pay less than $60 a year (including domain registration) for mine and I could go cheaper if I wanted. I've heard people say they can get good hosting for about $3 a month.

I think Blogger is better for me,I support Blogger ,yes it consists less facilities but easier for me
