I can't understand what all the fuss is about? They both serve a purpose, blogger works for me because its simple and It fits the bill. I don't want to make money from my blog or achieve worldwide fame. I just want somewhere to let family and friends view my travel photo's and see what I'm doing at any given time. Wordpress is able to be manipulated more than blogger for sure. But blogger serves its purpose. They are just different that's all. I used to build web sites from scratch using dreamweaver, that's the way to go if you are serious about making a web site that exactly fits your needs. Not finding other peoples wordpress/blogger themes and altering them. Programs like dreamweaver allow you to control absolutely everything. All the rest are second best in my opinion... Whether its wordpress or blogger makes no difference. It just depends on what your individual needs are. Last edited by Randy Cornhole; November 5th, 2008 at 09:16 PM. |

![]() I guess it all boils down to how you manage your time. And how you refrain from going to sites or services that distract you. The one thing I DON'T like about wordpress is the growing sidebars. They always seem to be growing as you place more and more stuff in them. There's really no fuss for this topic. I see it being asked all the time in other forums. There's been comparison between (or amongst) Drupal and Joomla, and between Joomla and Wordpress. Blogger does not have free or low-cost plugins that make blogs more CMS (for example, shopping and auction plugins). I may be wrong in this but correct me if I happen to have outdated info. |

I am new to blogging, so I started with Blogger and a friend convinced me to switch to WordPress...I like it much better. I still have a lot to learn about the best ways to use it and sometimes widgets do not show up from other sites. Could that be due to the template I am using? I appreciate any feedback I can get. Thanks

I found that wordpress was good if you were hosting your blog on a private host, but if you used there free service it had to many limits on it, this could be because I have become to used to using blogger. The one think I did really like about wordpress, was that it had a good free iphone app that worked great!!
