Being that this is the marketing forum and blog commenting is a great way to market your blog, I thought I'd let everyone know about the Reader Challenge I am running at DotComDud.com, you can check out the post here.

The idea is interesting. But I think you need a prize. Any prize, even useless,
is better than saying ' the challenge is optional '.

I agree but I'm not sure how I would track the entrants and on what basis I would award a prize. I'm open to suggestions though, any ideas?

Thanks for the tips. One note, the comment luv option has a fatal error in it if someone leaves a URL that is not a blog (i.e., a website). I've seen this a lot, not just on your site. I'm guessing it is something with the plugin.

Hmmm, I'll test it out and see if there is a fix or maybe an alternative plug-in I could use.

I just recently got done with a competition like this. I have seen many competitions like this and in the end usually, people complain to the blog owner. I thought I could do mine differently and not have this happen but I was wrong. They still complained and people tried to persuade me that they won the competition. However, they just never read the rules. But I guess you're always going to have people like this no matter what you do.

Usually people just forget to update the plugin. If there are problems with the updated plugin then someone probably should contact the Creator.
