Hi all, I actually came into this forum to drop into the classifieds section in the next couple of weeks, but thought i'd throw out a quick tip to bloggers who are interested in getting some solid exposure and traffic to their blogs. It's called Publicity Wheel, and the aim is to promote one site (in each category) for 5 days straight through 125x125 ads on everyone else's site. Obviously I run the service, but I really believe in the idea and know that it's already helped a number of bloggers out there. The great thing about it is that the traffic is natural and targeted, unlike something like Entrecard and Stumbleupon which can generate high bounce-rates. I won't throw in a long description here but check it out if you're interested at Publicity Wheel | Free website traffic and publicity at every spin. I'd love to hear any comments you may have as well as i'm always looking to improve things. Thanks, Mark |

If it shows 1 blog for 5 days; whats the allure for someone to come and visit it? Also besides advertising YOUR site... How will it pull new visitors? (Just curious). Cool layout!

Hi Rob, You provide a 125x125 pixel banner image which then gets displayed on every other site. So the allure is based on the image you provide... effectively you're getting free banner advertising on hundreds of other sites. Publicity Wheel is just the engine that serves the right banners, visitors don't need to visit Publicity Wheel at all. Does that make sense? |

The aim really is to get as many eyes onto your banner and resultant blog as possible in those 5 days (which I should say is much longer than anything you'll get from Stumbleupon or Digg). The image size is the same as Entrecard but that is duplicated across hundreds of other sites at the same time. For example, when you're featured in the Internet category (using current data), your ad will be seen around 14000 times in 5 days. Provided you have an attractive banner, you should be able to get a good amount of clicks from that. |
