Sometimes people just enjoy spending their time this way, and they will argue this is not time waste. For me it's okay, 'cause everyone is free to have their opinion. Besides, it may be a networking tool.

Myself - prefer avoiding Twitter, and tend as well to think of it more as of a waste of time for me.

Of course I've just spent so much time online now that I"m trying to limit it to productive stuff instead of straight out time killers as my hands won't last the long run. That being said; to each their own!

After looking at my stats. People that clicked through to my site on Twitter stayed much longer than any other traffic source. You may want to consider using it.

Twitter can take your whole day away really quickly..But I use it. It's a door opener for me in some ways as it's getting WebSketchz off the ground..I need to go and create some backlinks and all that stuff but I need to concentrate on my main..But twitter has provided people with interest into WebSketchz which is a big deal for me.

But I don't have time to go around and be social on all these sites..I need to just do it right content wise.

I can see definitely where people think it's a complete waste of time. But, I've had some success with people coming to my blog. I guess it really depends on preference, and what you think works for you.

But, I don't think it's the be all end all solution.

Flip side; just like last week someone added me so I added them blah... Today I go on talking to someone else see them mentioning blogworld. Also meet many people for different reasons.

The key is to check it out; throw your $0.02 in and then go back to your business. Don't make just hanging out on it your business if that makes sense.

I keep on coming across new ways that people make Twitter work, and it's really fascinating.

LOL It's people trying to build their follow count. They think if they follow you you may follow them back.
