If you haven't gotten your site on the Bloggers Choice Awards, you should.

I'm currently in first place in the travel category, and Bloggers Choice Brings in about 400 visits to my site every month, without me having to do any work. If you can get enough votes to get to the front page, you should see a bump in traffic from them.

Never though of that before. 400 a month is a GREAT stream. This place got over 60,000 and 75,000 month before with our "average" stream much smaller.

I thought it was a good idea when I was nominated initially, but there's a lot of bad blogs up there with a bunch of votes. I think people just trade votes without looking at the blog. I'm on 3rd page of animal bloggers.

Yeah, there are some crappy sites up there. You have to really work it. The guy who is 2nd in the travel category runs a hostel in Buenos Aires. He just gets his customers who stay there to vote for him. His blog gets next to no traffic.

What can you do?

Getting to the first page isn't that hard if you just work at it however.
