Blog Newsletter

I have read places that having an opt in newletter is a good way to gain repeat traffic, retain readers and even sell affiliate products, but I don't see the purpose or reason to have one seperate from my regular feed.

Does anyone here use a service for a blog newsletter? One like Aweber or Zookoda, etc.

Have you had any success with them? Does it take anymore time for you to set one up in addition to regular blogging?
