Sending email intimation of new blog Posts

I have blog with around 3000 readership.

Each time there is a new post, intimation has to be sent to the readers. The facility available on the blog itself is rather time consuming.

Is there some way to make the process easy? For example, is there a freeware that will arrange the email address lists, remove duplicates and also send intimation of new posts?

I prefer not to use my own email box to send such intimation and would prefer any anonymous server to send the information to the readers. Further, my normal email box would not permit sending such a lage number of intimations and again it would be the same process as if sending the intimation through the Blog's facility.

I don't get what you're saying. Doesn't FeedBurner take care of all that stuff automatically?

Feedburner has to be subscribed to by the reader but most readers are not doing that but rely on intimation to be sent by email to them.

I have only a feedburner subscribe feature.

But more importantly, depending upon the content of the post, the post intimation is sent to new people who might have an interest in the subject matter of that particular post. so there is an element of sending notification not only to those who have already been aware of the blog but to potential new readers also.

So what is your technique for doing this up to this point?
