I was over in the "BLOGGERIES PROMOTION: Request a Blog Review" and saw Blogulator's blog: Weather Musings. I love it. It reminds me of a dear friend who used to go chasing tornadoes. He was also obsessed with the weather channel. Although, I am not obsessed, I do love weather news, information, etc. Thank you Blogulator, for taking me back, as well as informing me.
So, I got to thinking. I have visited several other great blogs by members here. I know there are a lot more. I think it might be fun to play blog tag. It would give us a chance to visit blogs we might otherwise miss out on, and perhaps get a little feedback from each other. Rules: Very simple. Just visit the blog of the last person to post here. Leave at least one comment somewhere on their blog, come back here and tell us what you think of their blog. Then, the next person can do the same for you. To get us started, I will go with Blogulator's "Weather Musings". Besides the nostalgia kick I got, there is a lot of tidbits of information about weather, its terminology, etc. I like how this author follows trends all over the world. If you are interested in learning more about weather or just want to follow the trends, this blog is for you. The only thing I might say in terms of constructive criticism is that I find it a little difficult to read a long time when the text is ALL in CAPS. It is just me I am sure, perhaps I am just getting old and my eyes do not adjust like they used to. I found my eyes sliding over the content because there was nothing to break the content up into chunks. But, I enjoyed the content enough that it was worth my while to focus. I will be going back occasionally (as my limited amount of free time will permit) to read more. I set up a bookmark folder just for blogs I find on this forum, and bookmarked this one. Hoping to fill that folder up!

I'm in !
I'll go with your blog, Knotgypsy, Knotgypsy's Journey of Creation. Her blog is about the jewelry she creates, beaded macramé jewelry. I don't want to comment on the design too much cause her blog is undergoing change right now. However, she has an eye for design and the current blog is always pretty good, so I wouldn't worry too much ! The jewelry is lovely - I really like some bracelets. It's for sale and it's well-priced. The only "negative" thing I could say is her "niche" is pretty small. I'd bookmark the blog to have a look at the new jewelry, but I wouldn't see myself buying regularly - like I don't usually have a big jewelry budget ! So in order to become a blog to be checked out more often, I would encourage you : 1) To start some kind of interaction of readers, like a weekly class on how to make jewelry etc. 2) Post in specialized forums (i.e art forum etc.)

If you want to play tag, you need to visit Zhuli's blog, leave a comment somewhere, and come back here to tell us what you think of that blog. Then, the next person will do the same for you.

I got Zhu's, but let me know if you want to do the other one too since we sort of skipped a beat there.
Zhuli's blog My Life in Canada under the Snow is a refreshing take on, well everything from Mike Moore's latest movie to leaving politics and then some. Read about her travels and the perspectives it has given on life. The design is simple, yet appealing, and the content is nothing less than spectacular. I say this as from a writing standpoint -- nothing less than professional on Zhu's blog, as well as from a personal standpoint. I find it refreshing to see the shoot from the hip mentality that offers a more realistic approach to heated topics. Well done, this is one of my favorite blogs to visit actually. |

...CallCenterVet, only asked to be included for feedback, but did not offer any. So we skip over that one until she visits the last one posted, comments, and gives feedback. Then, someone can do hers.
MINE HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE - CHRISSIE'S IS NEXT. So who wants to visit Chrissie's blog, comment and give her some feedback? If you do, the next person will do the same for you.

I'm probably the worst person to review Chrissie's blog, since I'm fashion challenged myself. Nevertheless, I left a comment, and I'll confine myself to reviewing the site design.
I like it! The ads are understated, there to be clicked on but not overdone. Highlighting the categories on the left was exactly the right move, since someone who is interested in the blog wants to browse. Normally I'd recommend using fewer categories, but the number you have works for your blog and the category titles. More is better here, since a casual visitor can find posts related to specific topics very easily. Very nice blog, I'd be surprised if it doesn't do very well. Jay |

Yes, I want to play again, but with a different website/blog.
First, I visited jshaffstall's blog and as usual, I was inspired and found affirmation. I have visited a few times before. I find this blog to be very informative regarding "Online Opportunities". The writing is crisp, clear, and flows very well. For what could be a very dry topic, jshaffstall makes it easy to read and learn. The blog is organized well and is easy to navigate. So, if you are interested in learning more about how to make money online, this is the blog to read. In fact, I have had this blog bookmarked for some time. I need to find time to go back and read more. Now, for the next person who wants to play tag, please go to KnotGypsyDesigns.com, leave a comment somewhere, and come back here and let me know what you think. I have only had it up a couple of months so it still needs some work on the customization, but I think I am on the right track with the content. I would love to get some feedback. As I said in another thread, I have learned a lot from the feedback and constructive criticism I have gotten on this forum and seek to learn more. Thanks.

Wow, thanks for the kind words!
I know nothing about handmade jewelry, so I'll let someone else tag your blog. I do like your new look, though. You might think about writing some articles and publishing them on article directories. I wrote one about making home made dollhouses for a contest winner at the blog, and that article has had a good click through rate. I'd think handmade jewelry would be just as popular. Jay |

See, this is what I am talking about. Another helpful suggestion. I've thought about articles in a vague sort of way, but your suggestion adds perspective to why I should do it. I want to read your series on Article Marketing first, though. I read the first page already, but I must go for now. Thank you.
