Can you use youtube to make a "commercial" for your blog ?

Of course you can. The only problem is making it interesting enough to get viewers.

I've always thought it would be fun to grab a bunch of screenshots and use Animoto.com to make a "music video" for a blog. You can do a 30-second one for free.

I thought it would be cool to make a video about bloggeries telling people who runs it, what it's all about and how it helps their marketing efforts.

YouTube is a great way to get your Blog out there.

So far, I have not really tapped YouTube like I plan too, but I have included a couple of videos in my blog. There is a video of a Stirling engine on the blog; actually on the second post I wrote up. I think it was a great way to show the readers what one is. Check it out if you have time.

Creating a commercial is a great idea. It will have to be "off the cuff" to get people to share it though. If you can get creative, it might pay off long term.

I'd same something humorous or silly and have a link to your blog at the end or something.

It would be hard to think of something that could be about your blog but will also draw peoples attention to it.

I've put a few videos up on youtube with my blog address at the end for NDF. Mostly they're videos I actually wanted to post in the blog, things like cows licking their new calf, how we do foetotomies, what horses look like when you knock them out etc.

You have to be catchy to get anywhere to youtube.
