Anyone else a blogspot user

I recently started using blogspot.com for my blog, and I'm trying to find more templates and other blogspot users. And where to find the best places to market my blog.

I think you could certainly use a different template, Jack/Joe - your graphics are wonderful but the template is quite unsophisticated (and also seems very narrow) so doesn't do it justice. Google-search for "free blogger templates" and you'll find lots of other choices.

Definitely just type in "blogger templates" and you'll find tons of them. If you're decent with HTML any at all, you can also completely customize it yourself (which is what I do....I started with a basic template and then adjusted all my columns, colors, widgets, etc....if you get stumped, you can search for HTML or Blogger customization help, too). And you can market your blog anywhere you would any other blog.

Just curious - was it WordPress.com that you tried, or a self-hosted WordPress installation on your own web space?

Yup, there's a BIG difference between the two...

Both. A friend let me play around with his that's on its own web space, not the free Wordpress.com. I wasn't impressed so it was pointless for me to pay when I'm happy elsewhere.

You are definitely not alone

I believe that blogspot.com is the most used blog platform. It's true however that for wordpress there are cooler templates.
But there are plenty as well for blogspot, and new ones appear daily. As suggested, just google a search and you'll find what you are looking for.
To market your blog, see in the first place the appropriate topics in the forum, such as "What are the ways to make a Blog More Popular?" and "How to promote a blog"
