whats the most traffic you recieved

Hey everyone i was curious of whats the record amount of traffic you recieved. And what sites they where refered from for your blog.

1500 visitors in june. Up from 300 in May

Last month, on June 5, for some unknown reason, a site I have about haunted lighthouses that normally gets around 50 per day (with maybe 10 that check out the blog), hit 5,109. Most of the visitors came from Yahoo. I still haven't figured out what that was all about. Some hits also spilled over to my regular lighthouse blog, and that had 505 visitors that day.

The only thing I could think of was that was the day a story about a missing lighthouse hit the national news, but why haunted lighthouses?

That is kinda stranger; maybe yahoo was haunted for a day or so? Usually surges come from referrer sites that threw a link or up or something. SE traffic isn't usually in a spike like that. Hmmm...

For Bloggeries we get lot's of traffic from our blog polls; sometimes a blog that gets ridiculous traffic will add it and then suddenly we get flooded. (Not that I'm complaining).

That's just awesome.. My record would have to be some 700+ one day from StumbleUpon, though there had been more than one time that had actually happened..

5700 visitors from MSN. It could have been more, but my old cheapo hosting died.

On a single day? Probably around 10k uniques from several of the biggest gaming blogs, namely Kotaku and destructoid. On a single month probably around 80k. We get 60k on average lately and we havent really had any spikes in a while, that 80k spike was from months ago, now we'll hopefully beat that mark with organic growth in a couple of months

Are you talking about in one day or month? I think I had two different days, one all from search engines of 1,000+ and the other was from SU of like 4,000+ in one day...
