How is Your Blog Promotion Going? Are you Passing or Failing?

I am lucky enough that the search engines send me a lot. My niche is just set up that way that people look for the stuff I write about almost every day. I have hardly done any promotion and have gotten way more traffic than I expected in a 2 month old blog. I do realize I need to do some more link building though.

Have you seen any backlinks show up from the search engine traffic? I would imagine you'd get a few from visitors mentioning your blog on theirs.

You definitely picked a good topic for attracting search engine traffic. That's a good lesson for beginning bloggers...you have to be passionate about your topic, but it helps if it's something a lot of people are interested in.

Yes! I have gotten a couple of backlinks. But, hate to sound like a geek but fashion is my passion so I truly did just luck into that one. lol But definitely a good tip for new bloggers for sure. Pick something you like to do, because I use my blogging time as fun time, and that has really helped me keep it focused and updated regularly as well.

Good points! Chances are you won't make any $ from your passion for a long time so if you aren't doing it as fun ... Chances are you'll never make it. I visited your site the other day... I sometimes wear my sunglasses inside but I have to they are prescription

mine is going great, I have trippled my unique visitor count in the last 2 months, and over 1/2 of my uniques are from searches, and the rest from random other sites, my 'bounce rate is down to 63%

the only change I did in the last 2 months- at least one pillar article a day.

thanks! I am CONSTANTLY thinking up new content, I have like 4 notebooks placed around the house in case I think of something LOL

I work on links but I also tend to put more effort into producing content, thats what people want to see.
