wordpress or blogspot is better?

my friend told me that
google may close down your blogspot if it clashes with their requirements..

what does that means?
what requirements?
i want use it to market out and share information..

lots of people said that wordpress is the best.. because it has lots of plugins to be used and also it has lots of features than blogger..

I used blogger as a platform of my blogs.. but I am planning to use wordpress in the near future.. I am starting to educate myself about wordpress..

You can choose between self-hosted WordPress or get an account from wordpress.com

If you are referring to the free wordpress.com vs blogspot, then there is only 1 clear winner, go with blogspot because you are allowed to monetize your own blog, which is not allowed by wordpress.com

Besides, wordpress.com has limitations, so if you hear people praising WordPress for various reasons such as the availability of a lot of plugins, be sure that most of them are referring to the self-hosted WordPress.

actually if you want to sell and promote your own things, then you can do it with both types of WordPress. However the free WordPress.com doesn't allow you to put 3rd party advertisement like AdSense. With your own self hosted WordPress, you can practically turn your whole blog into advertisement heaven, nobody will complain or utter a single word

each blogspot and wordpress has their own good points, but different limitations and learning curve. you can try both of them out and then decide. as for self hosted WordPress you will have to take the consideration of hosting cost into account. also are you planning to get a domain for yourself? I highly suggest you get a domain regardless you want to use wordpress, blogspot or self hosted blogs.

regarding the google factor, you should read its Terms of Service (TOS). and yes google has been known to shut down or suspend sites which promote illegal content, copyrighted content, pornography, lies, unfounded rumors, etc, and they probably would start investigating once they receive 1 complain email. as for self hosted, depending where your hosting server is, and the company itself, they usually are more cool and would not immediately suspend your account unless you violate their TOS or exceed monthly bandwidth...
