Stumble Question

I ran across a site, called stumble exchange, has anyone used this? If you google stumble exchange, you will find it. I know all the controversy in many forums, but wondered if anyone has tried it, thought I might sign up and see.

I'd be careful about it, you don't want your acount reported so don't use your stumbleupon username there. I've kind of gone off stumbleupon for a while, as I think I need to stumble other people's stuff more.

The difficulty of exchanges is sometimes you're expected to stumble a page that just sucks.

Don't use it. SU can tell who has been using that stuff. They will punish your account.

Thanks both of you - I had never heard of it. I also was curious about stumbleudon... but will stay away from those.

One questions... how do you get more stumbles?

That's the multi-million dollar question, isn't it Chaitanya.

You could privaltely ask a person to stumble a good post of yours after you have stumbled a good post of theirs, but some people view this as spam, and the emphasis must be on quality or you wont get the benefit of the stumble anyway.

You can stumble other people's posts and elave them a comment that praises their post, on engages with it somehow, and happen to mention that you stumbled it as well. You often get a comment back, and sometimes a return stumble.

I've had a few completely random stumbles from people I've never met that I wasn't expecting, and they performed by far the best with over 40 each, all while I was sleeping! It was a lsightly controversial post which there wasn't a lot of information available on, so I don't know if that helped.

And In any case, if you are generous with your stumbles (only on great posts of course) and give them to other people without being asked, if you do rarely happen to stumble yourself, you won't get penalised for that and will get a result.
