I paid the $$$ for it. Not worth it at all in my opinion. The free version Free Keyword Suggestion Tool from Wordtracker is almost just as good if you ask me. Something that's really becoming popular is Wordze Keyword Research Tool I'd visit this post I read this morning which is good. Read it and use some of the free tools in there: 4 Indispensable “SEO TOOLS” for Competitive Research | SEO Design Solutions SEO Blog Best of luck and make sure you install the compete toolbar it's awesome.

Hi Rob, Thanks for responding. How do you use even the free tools for keywords. Do you use them in your postings to gain higher engine rankings or do you use them for affilaite marketing? Eric |

Can you elaborate? It identifies terms that have low competition and I'll incorporate them into various aspects. (That's the theory of course).

Use popular keywords in your post titles to rank more highly when people search for those keywords. This also assumes your theme is SEO optimized, and that you have decent backlinks, etc. You might take a look at my series on SEO: Search Engine Optimization 101 by Online Opportunity Whether you need to bother with keyword research for your posts depends on where you want to get your traffic from. Keyword research is for search engine traffic, like Google. If you get your traffic from other sources (and don't care to get traffic from search engines), then you may not need to worry about it. Jay Edit: absolutely don't pay for an expensive keyword research tool for use on a blog. Google's free tool will tell you what you need to know for post titles. Shoot for keywords that have moderate traffic, not the ones that have a huge amount of traffic (because the competition for those keywords will be larger). You're writing a lot of posts for a blog, so if each one gets a little search engine traffic because of keyword research, your entire site will get a lot of traffic. |

I use Google and Free Search Term Suggestion Tool by KeywordDiscovery.com for getting the right phrase for titles. It works really great. I get good amount of visitors for each article I post, in spite of my blog is one month old.
