It seems harder to do if you don't have a how-to, Lifehacker-style blog. My blog consists mostly of essays and observations on pop music; I can't really think of any videos I could do related to my blog.

Greetings, I agree there's always an x factor but there are technique that will get you traffic. In fact a mediocre blog is more likely to get a following if it's getting traffic than an amazing one that noone knows about.....ah the joys of becoming a blogger (sob sob smile....sob)
