I wonder when will the next PR update be? For some, it's not that important but of course I am still curious about the rank the the big G would give my blog.

Nah Jay, I don't think they will take away your PR4, some revision is possible, maybe PR3 or so ... but you deserve to be up there...
Do you guys know there is a thread on DP where people start predicting the date of the next PR update? Let me see if I can predict here too according to what I read there: April 25? |

You will do better in SERP....all things being equal. A PR0 site could rank higher than a PR8 site because the PR0 site has better anchor links coming in and better SEO on the page for whatever the particular keywords are.

But google always change its algorithm every 3 months .So even though you get page rank number 1 does not mean that your website will stay there forever.It still depends how popular your websites in the market.

Page Rank is an enigma in a conundrum. Basically no one really knows the algo but if you build a site that is for users and linked well in the niche you'll get a good score. Useless links from places totally unrelated do NOT play a big role.
