Default How good is Yahoo Answers for back links.

I have heard that people are using Yahoo Answers to get backlinks to their sites, after looking into this it appears that all the links in answers and questions are nofollows and that you cannot use HTML code to add anchor text for your link.

My questions is - are these links worth getting?

Are they going to count in SERP or PR and are they going to create any traffic at all? Or just the one person who asked the question?

Since there is nofollow tag, then no PR juice. but yahoo questions always show up high in SERP, so you will get at least a few visits per day from that question thread, I think depending on what type of questions and whether your answer is good or not...

Regarding the traffic factor you may want to view this older thread where we kinda dived into it:

Yahoo Answers

Hope this helps,

The links are definitely good to get if you can target specific keywords with little or no competition. Yahoo answers gets a lot of traffic and ranks very high in google search. Be careful though, don't go spamming away your links. Post a well-thought out thourough response, then see how much traffic yahoo answers rakes in...

I may be doing a little experiment myself w/ yahoo answers as a way to promote my blogs. Follow my progress @ AndrewPavelski.Com | Make Money and eventually I'll cover this topic as well as my results!

I asked a question "how many dogs does it take to change a light bulb?" on Yahoo answers and pointed them to that same post on animalsneedhelp.com and got a few comments on my blog from it.
I think people were happy to see a funny question come in for a change.

I have had really good results from Yahoo Answers. I got "favorite answered" on one of the really popular making money online questions, and have seen decent traffic inflow from this ever since
