I thought we did have a discussion going on with this -but couldn't find it, and there is no mocha latte involved! I knew I had a link for a great site with upcoming carnivals for submissions.

What exactly is a Blog Carnival??Can you give me a simple explanation,pls:lurk-2:

A carnival is hosted at a particular site/blog - and you submit your articles pertaining to it.. they then in turn choose several articles and discuss it and point to your articles. Picking things out of each particular submission and joining them together.

I don't know if blog carnivals are going to be around for much longer. They are pretty ancient in internet terms (see: wikipedia) and back when there weren't 17 different flavors of digg, they were great ways to aggregate content of a similar nature and thus create a mass of readers that would follow the carnival from place to place.

If you do submit, you loose what 5 minutes and gain maybe 10 readers? Depends on how big your are if that is worth your time.

It only takes a moment to submit to them, and they give backlinks and exposure. If it works for that, I keep submitting.. touching the many masses is quite tough any help us little folk can get.

ive submitted 2 articles a few days ago, but i havnt seen any traffic comming from it, yet i will keep submitting some of my articles because you indeed can get to a large audience and gives you a backlink (although im not sure about the PR).

Alot of times it takes awhile - depending when the carnival kicks off, it did do a good job for me in backlinks for my business blog.
