Promoting Contests

Hi,

I have a contest on my blog each month where I give away some bbq sauce to one contestant. How would you go about promoting such a contest? I mention it in appropriate BBQ forums, but I would like to get a broader range of viewers.

Submit your contest information to contest blogs. There are blogs that all they do is promote other people's contests. You can do a search for "contest blogs". This is the only one I know off hand.

I love your header! Did you create it? I haven't seen anything like that before. Who did you get to sponsor your contest?
That is an excellent idea, that you way you aren't out of any money. Let us know how it ends up.

A friend of mine did the header for me. I have no graphics abilities at all. I can barely scratch my name in the dirt with a stick.

A sauce manufacturer named Woody's Foods is sponsoring this months, Russ and Franks sauces are sponsoring next months.

I'll keep you up to date on how it goes. Please let me know if you have any other thoughts on promotion.
