Yahoo Answers is time consuming, but the traffic lasts for quite a while. Just dribs and drabs from each answer, but it all adds up. I haven't answered anything there for a couple of months, and still get an average of a visit a day from them.
I did a post about Yahoo Answers back in August that might be helpful: * Using Yahoo Answers to Market Your Site*by*Online Opportunity Jay Jay |

I have just joined Yahoo Answers, and have answered quite a few computer/software/internet questions. Though it seems many questions are posted by young school kids (myspace mentioned a lot, illegal downloads, copying movies, etc) and I'm not sure if it's better to find another category for answers that might translate to more adult/mature or blog type interested visitors...

Very interesting technique. As far as I know, Yahoo Answer use "nofollow" attribute and not a good for link building. But, I am not sure about traffic. Your topic must be pretty unique to get some direct traffic. Very interesting.

Then I gave a summary of the answer at Yahoo Answers, and provided a link to the post for more information. Jay |

Now if only my site were informative and could actually be beneficial like that, heh.

Yeah, it is time consuming, but you sometimes get very good quality visitors. I actually faded away from this but am considering doing it again.
I did it when I first start DatCurious.com and can I say, there are a LOT of kids that NEED to know about sex. Oh man, some of the things I read... |

Well, I decided to try this out earlier. But instead of my first blog, I put DatMoney.com and I answered about 10 questions and got 14 uniques to check out my blog. And honestly, none of my answers were too much in depth, just a sentence or two.
And I think I only put one specific link in a answer but the rest were people clicking my signature link. But we'll see if I get anymore people tomorrow... |

Thanks for sharing... Definitely a good strategy. I always enjoy Yahoo Answers and may further look into this.
