The Power Of Free Press Releases

I wanted to let everyone know about the benefits of submitting free press releases.

In my opinion they are the magic bullet of PR.

I could care less if anyone actually clicks on them, I just use them to get backlinks to my websites and blogs which raises them higher up in Google Pagerank.

The magic part is that there are thousands of websites and blogs that pull the RSS feeds from the news sites. In a few weeks Google will have indexed thousands of websites with your info in it.

It takes a bit to write a press release and sometimes some of them even get rejected but you learn from that and move on. The effect does not last forever in a few months they will dop off and let you know it's time to do another one.

Here's a few tips to get you started:

• Always write in the 3'rd party. They, not We.
• Use the reverse pyramid in the body, ie start with the general terms and end with the exacts.
• Use a keword rich title and try to get as many keywords in the body as you can.
• Use keyword rich backlinks when allowed.
• It is good to get a quote in there to add a personal touch.
