Have You Heard Of PunchTab?

So I just found out about this amazing loyalty/giveaway platform for blogs called PunchTab.

Their plan is to reward people for visiting, sharing, and commenting on your site with points and once they earn enough points they can redeem them for prizes. By default PunchTab supplies you with Amazon, Groupon and Zynga gift cards - but the prizes are customizable so if you'd like to build it into your own marketing budget you can offer whatever you like for how ever many points you want.

They also let you customize the options for ways for which people earn points, but by default they are tweeting, liking, +1ing, visiting and commenting.

If you want to see it in action I've had it running on my site Phogropathy for a few weeks and I have seen some results.

Anyone use PunchTab?

It does sound like a good idea, but you've got to be careful that know ones exploits the system.

With any means of promotion there's always those who are out there to exploit the system. However, PunchTab requires a Facebook account to register for the loyalty program which should cut down on a lot of abuse.

So far I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary just more people sharing and tweeting my stuff then before. So far so good

I have used it but many of our blog members complained it was affecting load times! So it may slow down your site, you have to figure out where the ROI is and if it's worth it.
