There is a lot to learn about SEO and I also am curious to know all the secrets of it. I do know that researching keywords is handy and is said to help your traffic a lot. Also, using them in your copy (as cp9195 says) is important too. Don't overload your keywords either. Have them fit with what the page is really about.

Long-tail keywords are also helpful. There are some excellent free sites out there to learn with. You don't necessarily have to pay to learn about SEO.
