I think that the best way to start to get quality traffic is to comment & ping back to other blogs that are in some way related to yours. That way you can get some traffic from people who are interested in similiar content to your blog.

When you have a great blog, you're going to get a lot visitors from Google and Bing. Content is the answer. You may get a few visitors from comments and internal pingbacks that are relevant and make sense however unless you flawlessly execute this strategy, you could end up looking like a spammer. Not recommended. It's better to just put the hard work into your content.

... And update it frequently!!  I fell out of my blogging routine a few weeks ago and left my blog empty (shame on me!) and of course it lost most its visitors and now I have to struggle to get them back again  Never neglect your blog  |
