First off, don't worry about "hits". "Hits" is a terrible metric and not helpful to you. Worry about what your analytics tells you about "time on site" (you want to hope that people are staying long enough to read your content) and worry about "absolute unique visitors" ("hits" can be one person opening the same blog 5 times - not a useful metric) and worry about whether people are developing a relationship with your blog - Look at whether the comments to your articles are really alive and well. It is QUALITY not QUANTITY. Just for example, there was one day this week (much earlier in the week) where I had over 900 unique visitors in one day. It wasn't useful. Did I feel great about this success? My bouncerate went up; I got few comments; my time on site dropped. I _think_ I had surge in people visiting my site from South Korea because of one my recent blog articles, but in the end, I think due to the language barrier, these readers didn't really stay and become involved in my blog. I appreciate their visits, ... I really do ... but I still hope for a community of readers involved in my blog more than I hope for some high number of absolute unique visitors.

Yep, quality is definitely better than quantity. You want people coming back to your site because you give them good content.

Make videos about recipes and put a logo on there for your blog. Give them a "taste" of what your website has to offer. Upload those videos to all the major video sites with different titles and keywords (but ones that still describe the video accurately).

Two months is a really young blog - I don't think that you should expect a lot of traffic yet. That said, are you participating in other food blogs? I think that that's the most valuable non-content thing that you can do. But, mostly focus on content. |

First question, where are your potential readers? Secondly, how are you marketing your blog? If you can answer the two questions above, then you should have no problems in getting readers for your blog.

OK, so here's what you can do to increase your traffic in this stage: - very careful tagging - your tags should reflect every important aspect in your post; - smart image tagging - look for words related to the images, if any, featuring a broader area of interest; - use your tags in titles, but do it moderately; - increase the number of your posts, but don't sacrifice quality for regular posting; Hope this helps, _________________________________ Lloyd Burrell Publisher Office Desk Reviews |

| You are still at beginner level ,so don't worry just keep posting relevant topics and try to write about what your visitor want to read and not what you like personally.
