Any suggestions on how to best market this blog?

I started my first blog last week, and am doing fairly well I think with search engines, digg, and stumble. I have had 2,175 hits from stumble, 45 from digg, and 40 from Google, but of course I would like more. The blog is titled Life’s Absurdities | Ponderings on the Absurdities of the Human Civilization and focusses on the absurdities of everyday life. Some of the topics are of a serious nature, others are of a humourous nature.

If anyone has any tips on marketing this I would greatly appreciate it, as I mentioned this is my first blog and I am not really sure how to get the best marketing for it.

Submit to a few GOOD directories. Search "Blog directory" online. Look for cheap or free ones on first 3 pages.

Submit comments on other blogs in your niche that are relevant and use a descriptive yet not spammy name to link to your site. Ideally use keywords you are hoping to get search engine traffic for.

Approach other bloggers in your niche and ask for a blogroll exchange. Many may say no until you have more posts so may want to wait just a bit.

Keep churning out great content. Work more IN your blog for now. Beef up the appearance, tweak this, add more content, put images in the content. THEN work ON promoting it so when people look they say wow and chose to link with you.

Keep posting in forums. Each post is a backlink to your blog and possibly a visitor or so if people read the thread like what you have to say and want to find more.

Guest Blog on other bigger blogs if you can.

I love your blog. Im doing similar topics for as mobile animations and hopefully commercially. You can take a look to my The Spoon project. Maybe you are interested to give me some next episodes ideas?
I would like to script at least episodes 6-9 within next few months until I hopefully have raised £500 needed to finish and test the distribution platform and get those clips to the market.
