![]() I know this is not jaw dropping results or anything but I just wanted to share with you guys some of the ways I increased my traffic. - Posting on forums with helpful/funny content. Most forums you are able to put a link in the signature section and most won't mind you putting your personal website there. Don't spam on a lot of different forums that is not related to your niche and creating threads like "O l00k at my kewl new internet blog." - Using the correct title on your blog post. When I first started blogging my titles were like "Cool LED TV" which made it impossible for people to search in Google to find my website/post. After making my titles more descriptive like "Sony R742 LED TV" I noticed an increase in traffic through Google searches. - Puns, Innuendos, Sarcasm, Humor This is great on your personal blogs which will bring more visitors. This really depends on what your website is about. If it is a serious or business like website it's best to avoid this. What are puns you ask? Here are some examples: "To write with a broken pencil is pointless." "A criminal’s best asset is his lie ability." "Old doctors never die they just lose their patience." If you implement these correctly to your blog it will make you look clever/smart and it will definitely bring more visitors. - Not writing negative opinions about other things. Don't write things like "Ya the new Ephone 10G is so dumbies who would want it ever." I see personal blogs like this and it makes them look ignorant and I don't visit their blog again. It's alright to show disapproval for things but it's best to go with the technical route instead of voicing your random opinion. For example: "GoSister is not the best place to host your websites because HostCrocodile is cheaper with better service." So all this things may not apply to all blogs but it should help some. And remember blogging takes patience. |

Or you could just post genuinely useful content on your blog, which is what I did. People say a lot about getting traffic to blogs but forget [not referring to the post above] on page content. it's your biggest leveraging chip

Congrats on the growth and thanks for sharing your tips. Good point about forum posting: it's all about building credibility and offering something of value to the readers. If you only are in it to push your own links, you'll quickly get tuned out. Have you done much article marketing? I'm getting started with ezine articles now...

If I could get a site to go from 200 to 1000 unique visitors in a month, I wouldn't care if the forums that I posted on were dofollow or nofollow. I mean, if you're posting on the forum specifically to get traffic, it just doesn't matter what type of link itis.
