Google adsense is messing me about!! (PLEASE READ) :/

Ok so over the last week or so my earning with google adsense have been really weird. I've found that one day i'll get a few hundred views to my site and won't make a penny, yet on the next i'll get roughly the same amount of views and will earn about £5 to £10. Literally i only get clicks with google adsense on every other day, does google round up my clicks/earnings after the period of two days and then tell me what i've got?

Please help/ suggest what this could be,
