I find that a really good once over and honing the craft of the writing is something that's important that a lot of people skip out on.

I think a lot depends on readership, A blogger doesn't have to have a real narrow focus, but they have to understand who their reader is. Cheese blog, might go off tangent a write a little about their localaity if they are from Wisconsin or Vermont, The blogger who posts about inspirational thoughts, could post about a funny incident at his/her church. Politics and Relegion are best avoided unless your blog is about politics or religion

I think it's okay for a blog to feature another topic as long as it's related or similar. I guess inspirational messages and politics/business is not a good combination. If two topics are completely different, they may also speak to two different audiences. In that case, it would be better to have a separate blog.

very true. it's ok to do another topic but definitely not every post should be different from the theme.

Absolutely true, if I"m following one blog it"s because of it"s theme, if the person starts to constantly write about something not conected with it, I"m gone. |
